Founder and Licensed Builder Spencer Hamilton has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, including 12+ years working in the Charleston area.
Spencer grew up renovating homes with his father, developing a passion for craftsmanship and design at an early age. After earning his degree from the University of Florida in 2011, he expanded his expertise across the U.S. and abroad—from Florida to Maine to New Zealand—specializing in custom carpentry and architectural design.
Since moving to Charleston in 2013, Spencer has worked with some of the city’s most respected construction companies, moving from laborer to project manager. During this time, he helped restore abandoned historic homes in downtown Charleston, strengthening his knowledge of the city’s architecture and the unique challenges of building in the Lowcountry.
In 2019, Spencer received his Residential Builders License and founded Hamilton Builders with the mission of delivering superior craftsmanship and a client-first experience.
